According to the bylaws, AAUW membership is open anyone “holding an associate or equivalent, baccalaureate, or higher degree from a qualified educational institution, a degree from a foreign institution recognized by the International Federation of University Women (IFUW), or a foreign degree acceptable as a basis for admission by graduate schools at qualified universities of the United States. “
As noted on the national web site, “In principle and in practice, AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There are no barriers to full participation in this organization on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability. Membership is not by invitation.”
Our branch is open to anyone living in the general area surrounding Issaquah. We currently have members from Issaquah, Sammamish, Bellevue, Renton, North Bend, Redmond, Fall City, and Seattle. Come to our next branch meeting and check us out. The branch meeting schedule can be found here.
Dues are $80 annually. $49 is for the national dues and $46 of that is tax deductible. The state dues are $10 and the remaining $21 are for the branch. State and branch dues are not tax deductible.
New members should complete an application form for the Issaquah Branch of AAUW and mail it with a check for the dues to the branch treasurer. Or bring it to the next branch meeting. Complete information is on the form. The form is available as a document (MS Word 2007 or later) or an Adobe Reader file.

Persons wishing to transfer from another AAUW branch to the Issaquah branch should contact our Vice-Presidents of Membership at email@example.com.
