About the Program

Each year the Issaquah branch recognizes girls in the junior year of high school who excel in areas of science, engineering, technology and mathematics (STEM). AAUW members work with counselors at all of the Issaquah School District high schools to identify the girls. Up to three girls are recognized from each high school.

The girls and their families are invited to a branch meeting for a recognition ceremony. They are given a certificate and a small gift from the branch. AAUW members also attend recognition ceremonies at each of the high schools.
